About the role

The Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure infrastructure with a strong focus on high availability, redundancy, networking, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code. The role supports mission‑critical banking systems requiring scalability, security, and operational resilience.

Responsibilities & duties

• Design and maintain Azure infrastructure including VNets, subnets, firewalls, and load balancers.

• Implement redundancy, availability zones, region failover, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Bicep, ARM, or Terraform.

• Configure and support private endpoints, hybrid connectivity, VPN/ExpressRoute.

• Monitor system health, performance, and reliability across cloud environments.

• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to define cloud patterns and standards.

• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory frameworks relevant to banking operations.

• Troubleshoot cloud networking, performance, and infrastructure‑related issues.

• Document cloud architecture, operational procedures, and configuration standards.

What you need for this role

• 5+ years in cloud infrastructure engineering with strong Azure experience.

• Expertise in Azure networking, firewalls, routing, and hybrid connectivity.

• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.

• Experience implementing HA, DR, and multi‑region redundancy.

• Understanding of security controls, identity, RBAC, and compliance frameworks.

• Experience supporting production‑grade distributed systems.

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

• Advance level of English
